I quit FFXI, again. Girls are fickle, it's true. I miss WoW, but I'm waiting for him to call me FIRST. That way, I don't look desperate.
I wish the bananas in the house were acceptable, because a Mr. Prosky spoke fondly of dishes containing bananas. Dishes in which I choose to attempt and digest.
Kevin and I went to Mutt n' Jeffs probably yesterday. It was so great, we're doing it again Friday. Speaking of fine dining out, I'm China King-ing tomorrow for lunch with dear Laura and Mike. Join us, yes? It would be MOST GOOD.
I'm reading Women in Love and the final Sandman. It's good to read.
Hmm, I go to school Sept. 4th. That's move in day. I've got a closet full of boxes and things to take with me, yet I haven't much looked into a rug. Where does one buy a decent rug? It sure as hell isn't Meijers.
We got this super fine demo of Nintendogs in at Gamestop the other day. I played with Maxwell, the Chiuaha, or however the crap you spell it. I put ribbons in his hair, had him skip romp with the other dogs, and petted his lovely funny head. I've had it reserved for other a month now, and my excitement of digital puppies grows each day. Plus, Jeff tells me a secret about the game every time we work together.
I wish I knew more secrets. But, I'm getting up there, to be fair. To be even more fair, I don't exactly have the sort of..."confide in me" face/personality. One day.
I ordered Harvest Moon SNES today. I haven't played the new GBA chick version in days, so I might as well remedy that with another version for a system that isn't currently hooked up. Quite. I've been thinking on which systems I ought to take up to school...I'm not sure I want to leave my Super Nintendo, not with all the good games I've been picking up for it this summer. I wish I could find Rocko's Modern Life, for old time sake.
Goodness gracious me, I've prattled on so long that I'm quite confident those bananas I spoke of are ripe now. Fair thee well!

What are the classes? Races? How's gameplay, what's it similiar to?
August 12 2005, 04:34:02 UTC 6 years ago
races and classes are where the game lacks. you can only be humans, and there are only six classes. each character starts off with a primary class, and then gets a secondary one soon after starting. there are lots of different spells though, and it is fun to see how different classes work with each other. gameplay is (in my opinion) much like Diablo II. you can gather raw materials for weapons/armor, but you have to go to a crafter to get them made. if you have any other specific gameplay questions, feel free to ask. it would take too long to explain everything, I think.
other things you should know:
first off, the level cap is 20. this isn't as bad as it sounds though. it makes Guild vs. Guild combat (which is one of the central aspects of the game) much more interesting, and allows you to focus on exploring, the story, getting items, and getting skills rather than leveling up.
second, you get to make 4 characters total. you can't pay for more or anything like that. that is another good thing about the level cap, though. if you feel like starting a new character, you don't feel so bad about deleting an old one.
anyway, you should visit www.guildwars.com for more in-depth sort of info.
hope I helped!

screw GameStop. it is at 21 & Gratiot, in the shopping center behind CVS, and it is called GameQuest. and it is my new favorite spot in the whole wide world.

i could swear there was a system that played both nes and snes cartridges. i've mentioned it to everyone and no one seems to remember it. i don't think i'm crazy but if this thing didn't exist, i guess i must be...August 11 2005, 22:05:10 UTC 6 years ago
Re: since you apparently work at gamestop...
Well, there was a rumor some while back about a pirated console in which the SNES and an NES top loader were hacked to bits, allowing for play on both styles of cartridges. Honestly, I can't for the life of me see how that would physically work, but according to some, it's been done. I've never seen it, and I can imagine the system would look like a mess, with all the different controller slots, ect. Unless you knew a 1337 programmer, I don't know where abouts one would run into such an abomination.I guess it wouldn't be impossible. After all, Infinium Labs is making Phantoms.
